Skiing at Blacktail Mountain is a great adventure with nearly 70% of skiers being intermediate skiers, and 15% expert you’re bound to have someone to help get you started if you’re just beginning. Ski rentals can be pricey, but at Blacktail mountain ski area they have a ton of different deal options. Here are a few tips shared below.
Special Deals for Less
There are many options for special deals at Blacktail Mountain Ski area, and rarely ever are they hard to obtain with so many different and affordable options. Purchasing a season pass ahead of time can get you into any other ski resort in Montana and you can ski all day for a half day rate! You can also take part in the partnership deal and bring your season pass from any other Montana ski area to Blacktail Ski Area, and ski all day for the half-day rate.
Season passes start at $375 for an adult, $267 for teens, $130 for a child 8-12. Tiny tots age 7 and under ski for free with just a $10 office fee. Blacktail Ski Area is known for free fifth grader skiing! So for a season pass for a 5th grader, it’s only a $10 office fee as well! College students’ passes are $375, seniors age 70 and over are $100. They also over a corporate season pass which is transferable and only $700.
Remember to Book Early If Possible
At Blacktail Mountain Ski Area, it’s a tradition all fifth grader ski free every day, here are a few more ways to ski free. Is it your birthday or are you younger than 7? Show valid id and you’re on the house for the day! Every Thursday you can ski for $25 also. Normal daily rate are $40 adult, $28 teen and $19 for children 8-12. Blacktail Mountain offers senior and military discounts daily also.
Rental rates can be prepared ahead of time with a form off their site starting at $24.00 for an adult, and children $18.00. Helmets are strongly recommended and only add an extra $6.00. Consider saving the most by signing up for a program in advance by arriving early to register. There are two options, Alpine for ages 4 and up, skiers must be registered by 9:30 and 12:30 with lesson times beginning at 9:45 and 12:45. Snowboard lessons are also available, but first come, first serve basis, and begin at 10:15 and 1:15. Programs include full day rental, lift tickets and 2 hour lesson all for rate of- adult $70, teen $60, child $50 and tot 7 and under $40. Make sure to arrive 30 mins prior to register to make sure space is available! This is a huge savings and worth it to ski at Blacktail Ski Mountain Ski area!
