Turner Mountains Ski Area is known as one of the most affordable mom and pop ski areas in Montana. Known as “Steep and Cheap” says it already, rentals here are already affordable, but there are a few more options to save big. Booking online with a Ski and Stay package early can help get the most bang for your buck and can save up to 20% off. Here are a few more pointers.

Passes Instead

Depending on if you’re planning on staying a few days, a season pass might be the best money saving option for you. Rental rates for a day at Turner Mountain Ski Area are $20.00 for all ages with brands like “Big Easy” skis & K2 “Clicker” Snowboards, and boot sizes from tots clear up to adult size 16! Hot wax and tune ups are available for $10.00 also. Lift prices for a day are FREE for a child 0-6, age 7-12 costs $20.00, 13-18 costs $25.00, and adults $37.00.  These are already discounted prices, but if you have a valid id, ask about a military, senior or student discount.

Another  fantastic option to save would be by buying a 5 day voucher at the rate of $80.00 for 7-12 years, $100.00 13-18, or $150.00 for an adult(only sold before Dec 24th) Discounts for military, students or seniors can also be taken advantage of for a 5 day pass at the rate of $120.00. Season passes are also available depending on age starting at $260.00 up to a 4 person family pass rate of $1250.00 with an additional $100.00 per child past the 4 person limit.

Keep in Mind

Turner Mountain Ski Area also has a few more money saving and learning experiences. Ski and snowboard school, sessions are on Saturday for $20 and are at 10.00 am and 1pm. This is a 2 hour lesson and well worth the $20 bucks. There’s also another fairly affordable option called learn to ski in 3, this is for beginners only and includes 3 day lift tickets, 3 daily equipment rentals, and 3-2 hour lessons. Expect to pay only $90 for this amazing service and all ages are welcome.

Choosing to ski at Turner Mountains Ski Resort is already one of the most affordable ski resorts for rentals and rates in Montana.  When you book early and take advantage of the ski and stay package you really get the most for your money, don’t forget avoiding cotton, and jeans are the best way to stay as dry as possible! Plan on packing extra socks, wool and silk mixes are best and moisture wicking or light breathable clothing (layer up.)
